CBH, CBD, and THC are all cannabinoids found in the hemp plant, but they differ significantly in their effects and uses. THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) is the most well-known cannabinoid and is responsible for the psychoactive effects of cannabis, meaning the “high.” CBD (cannabidiol) does not have an intoxicating effect and is valued for its wide range of health benefits, including anxiety relief, anti-inflammatory properties, and pain relief. CBH, in turn, is also non-psychoactive and has only recently begun to receive more research attention. Initial studies suggest that it may also have anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, but the research is not yet as extensive as it is for CBD and THC.
